Juliet Smith – Co-Chair

I am qualified Occupational Therapist and Counsellor and after a brief period in a general medical setting have worked in mental health services in for the NHS and Voluntary sector, in the community in the Borough of Lambeth and locally as well hospital settings in the UK and USA.

For the last twenty five years of my career I worked locally in community settings, counselling in Mental Health units and in general practice. I also combined this with a variety of management posts as well as being responsible for the programme set up to train Occupational Therapy students for the Kettering District. I took the opportunity to attend a wide variety of management courses during my career. I have continued to increase my knowledge by attending courses relevant to my position on the board.

I am interested in the theatre, cinema, gardening and cooking so I need to attend the gym which I enjoy!

I am lucky that my grandchildren play a great part in my life which reminds me of the difficulties that families from all walks of life face in bring up their children in this ever changing world

Sharon Peach - Co-Chair

As the co-owner of a small group of children’s day nurseries in Northamptonshire, Sharon has significant experience of working with families and young children. She and her team are passionate about early education and work closely with parents and carers in Wellingborough and Northampton to ensure that children receive the best start in life. This involves everything from helping eligible families to access government funding to giving children the opportunity to grow and develop in a safe, healthy environment.
Sharon joined the board in June 2016

  Simon Moseley – Treasurer

Simon joined the board in 2008 and since then has carried out the role of Treasurer. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and retired from the Nationwide Building Society after working for them for 23 years 15 of which were as an internal auditor.
Simon has carried out a range of voluntary roles which have run alongside his commitment to Home-Start including the British Red Cross. Simon has responsibility for ensuring that the Scheme meets its financial commitments in a timely and efficient way.

Marcia Holder

Marcia’s support to Home-Start comes through her working background in administration; she also brings life experience as a disabled person. Within the board she takes the lead for Equality, Diversity & Fairness – an area of strength within the scheme. Marcia has recently led on Scheme’s Quality Assurance Audit in which the Scheme scored a resounding 99% success.

In addition to supporting children through Home-Start Marcia assists the Guide Association as the advisor for members with special needs

Taymar Ingram

Taymar joined the Board 2012 bringing her skills and knowledge as a social worker, holding an MA and Diploma in Social Work. She has worked within Northamptonshire and Leicestershire and is currently a Team Manager within Peterborough City Council ‘First Response’ Team.
Taymar is the trustee with responsibility for overseeing safeguarding policy and procedures with staff and trustees drawing upon her expertise as and when required.

Taymar has also gained a number of additional qualifications relevant to her role on the board including a BA in Childcare Studies an NVQ in Leadership and Management.
